  Fulk IV "Rechin" Count of Anjou was born in 1043.1,2,3 He was the son of Geoffrey II "Ferreol" Count of the Gâtinais and Château-Landon and Ermengarde of Anjou.1,2,3,4 Fulk is noted as "chronicler of the Counts of Anjou", so presumably he began a family history. He is known as "Fulk le Rechin" which means "Fulk the Rude". The reason for this name is unclear.3,4 Fulk married first Hildegarde de Baugency.1 About 1090 in France Fulk married second Bertrade de Montfort l'Amaury, daughter of Simon I de Montfort Seigneur of Montfod l'Amauri and Agnes d'Évreux.1,2,3,4,5 Fulk IV "Rechin" Count of Anjou and Bertrade de Montfort l'Amaury were divorced on 15 April 1092.2,5 He was the chronicler of the counts of Anjou.2 Fulk IV "Rechin" Count of Anjou died on Wednesday, 14 April 1109 in France at age 66 years.
