  • Notes
    • 160 acres of land granted to widow Jane McManus at Mulgrave Place by Governor Hunter with the rent to commence 12 Mar 1805

In Jane's will to her son John she left a mare called Betty, to her daughter Margaret a mare called Gipsy and to Margaret's daughter, Harriet, a filly and a foal.

Jane Pool was sent to Norfolk Island on the ship 'Supply' , there were 6 male and 8 female convicts on board. Jane had a daughter Margaret born on Norfolk Island during her time there, father unknown, and she was first

Jane signed an agreement with the Government to quit her house in exchange for another but by 1824 she was still petitioning for this new house to be allocated.

Jane was buried near her daughter Martha (called Poole on the tombstone)

Jane was living with Richard Ridge on 250 acres on the Hawkesbury, apparently this included her grants of 220 acres.

Jane's household was herself, one male convict servant and three children - all supported on Government rations.
