  as per email from Pamela Rose, great granddaughter of Robert Hannah Johnstone: Hugh JOHNSTONE and Hannah (ANDERSON) lived with their family at the gamekeepers lodge on one of the estates of the Duke of Buccleugh up until the time of Hugh's death. In the 1841 Census Hugh Johnstone and his wife Hannah Anderson and their oldest child Jane were living at Teindside Bridge, Hawick. Hugh's occupation was Assistant Gamekeeper (to the Duke of Buccleuch).
