In 1035 Ermengarde married first Geoffrey II "Ferreol" Count of the Gâtinais and Château-Landon, son of Geoffrey III "Ferole" Count of the Gâtinais and Château Laudon and Beatrice de Mâcon.2,1,4,3 In 1055 in France Ermengarde married second Robert III "the Old" Duke of Burgundy, Prince of France, son of Robert II "the Pious" King of France and Constance of Arles. They later were seperated for consanguinity.1,3 Upon her brother, Geoffrey's death, she became the heiress of the County of Anjou.3 Ermengarde of Anjou died on Tuesday, 21 March 1076 in Fleury-sur-Ouche, France.2,1,4,3
