      H Claude Little was born at Lenah Valley, educated at Newtown and first engaged in the fruit trade in 1925. He became a fruit broker and was the Tasmanian agent for many international and national fruit export organisations. In 1931 he was one of the largest shippers of fruit in the state.

      Claude has taken a keen interest in ametuer theatricals a was a well known public platform performer and took a leading baritone part in the "Gondoliers". He was actively involved with charities and took an active part in the Kennel Club, being a successful breeder.
      In 1931, he was a committee member of the Hobart Turf Club.

      26 May 1944 HIGH COMMISSIONER SUED

      HOBART, Fri: Judgment for £400, with costs, was awarded against Thomas D'Alton, former Tasmanian Minister for Agriculture and now Commonwealth High Commissioner in New Zealand, in an action for damages by Harold Claude Little, former fruit agent, in the Supreme Court today. Little alleged that D'Alton wrongfully procured his dismissal as manager of Southern Tasmanian Co-operative Society Ltd.

      CROWD AT FUNERAL OF H. C. LITTLE

      A CAPACITY crowd of more than 200 packed the crematorium chapel at Cornelian Bay, Hobart, yesterday for a memorial service to the late Mr. H. Claude Little, who died suddenly on Monday.
      Mr. Little had been manager of radio station 7HT in Hobart for nine years.
      He was a pioneer in the development of commercial radio, and during the service yesterday, the Rev. H. Shepherd paid tribute to his contribution to the welfare of the community in this field.
      He said that it was a fitting tribute to Mr. Little that, despite his retiring disposition, he had earned the highest respect of the community.
      Before he joined 7HT, Mr. Little had been an agent for several firms of fruit im- porters, and there was a strong representation of fruit growers and orchardists at the service.
      An extra car was necessary to carry more than 100 floral tributes to the crematorium.
      Chief mourners were Mr. Girvan Little (son), Mr. L. E. Benjamin (son-in-law), and Mr. Hugh Watson (nephew).
