| Notes |
- Notes by Augusta Basset Hull:
The Tremletts of Bath are descended from an old Cornish family.
Henry Tremlett married Angelina Basset, daughter of John Basset of Blan Pre, who was related to the Baroness Basset of Tehidy Park, Cornwall (the title is now extinct).
Henry had three sons and three daughters of whom William Tremlett came to Tasmania in 1830 (he was described as a ‘man of letters’. He married Margaret Aitken, youngest daughter of Robert Aitken and a sister of James Aitken.
William Tremlett died in 1837 after a short married life leaving two daughters, Margaret Basset who was Hugh Munro Hull’s second wife and Wilhelmina Mary who died unmarried.
