  Walch’s Almanac 1878 Justice of the Peace Residing at ‘Coombe’, New Norfolk Aug 20 1878 ‘Coombe’, renamed ‘Roslyn’,was built in 1859 by William Blyth who married Elizabeth Crowther only daughter of DR. William Crowther CBE., DSO.It is built of solid construction: double brick with rubble infill, making the walls very firm and stout.  It features twin gables, giving it a stately, gothic appearance. Over all these years there have only been 6 owners, one family of Brownings having lived here for 70 years.
